CAPTCHA architecture is a research-based architectural practice founded by Margherita Marri (Grosseto, 1993) and Jacopo Rosa (Valdobbidene, 1992). The studio explores the contemporary condition through the relationship between architecture, politics, technology, and ecology. It originated from the research project Logistics Landscape. Unveiling Protocols, focused on the spaces produced by neoliberal logistics geographies. This research has been expanded through lectures at ETH Zurich and the curation, for Milano Arch Week 2019 and the XXII Triennale Milano (Broken Nature), of panel discussions and the exhibition Machines of Loving Grace. Related writings have been published in StrelkaMag and ERA21.

The studio co-founded SUPERATTICO in Milan, an independent space for contemporary architecture and design that functions as an office, exhibition space, and collective library, fostering dialogue between architectural practice and theory. CAPTCHA combines professional work with academic activity, teaching at Politecnico di Milano, the Architectural Association in London—where it co-directs the visiting school Possibility of an Island—and other international institutions. Its research on the urban–non-urban condition continues through Anonima Agricola, a cultural foundation in the Maremma countryside investigating techno-pastoral landscapes. CAPTCHA architecture received a special mention at the Premio Architettura Italiana 2022, was shortlisted in 2023, was nominated in 2024 for the EUmies Award and has exhibited work at venues including the Venice Architecture Biennale, Triennale Milano, and Centro Pecci.FOUNDERS
